NRA STRATEGIC PLANNING

The NRA Board of Directors conducted a strategic planning session at their summer 2010 meeting.  Board members participated in a lively and productive discussion to establish a vision for the organization and an action plan to accomplish it.  Several themes emerged from the ideas that were generated.  These groupings were formed into four committees including:  a) National Agenda, b) Membership, c) Resource Development, and d) Leadership.  A chairperson, board members, and a staff person were assigned to each committee.  A goal, objectives, and activities were identified to be completed by each committee and have undergone minor revisions since their development.  A comprehensive and updated strategic plan that highlights these events has been
linked here for your review.  Each committee chair provides an updated report at the monthly Board meetings.  These updates have been added to the report as of the current date listed which is August, 2011.  Each month this report will be updated and posted on the website to keep you abreast of all activities and developments.  The highlighting will be removed from the previous month’s activities and added to the most recent month’s activities to make the updates easier to read.  Everyone is encouraged to volunteer or provide assistance on any activity that you have an interest, resources, or expertise.  Please contact Wendy Parent-Johnson at wparent@ku.edu or (785) 864-1062 if you have any questions or information.  Thank you.
